Dr. James Suliburk is a board-certified surgeon in Houston specializing in the treatment of tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland. Growing up in Oklahoma, he is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He trained in general surgery at the UT Health General Surgery Residency Program in Houston, TX. He then completed endocrine surgery fellowship training at the world renowned University of Sydney Endocrine Surgical Unit. As a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon, he specializes in the care of patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, goiter, Graves' disease, hyperparathyroidism, adrenal masses, pheochromocytoma, Cushing's, and Conn's diseases. His advanced surgical expertise includes minimally invasive parathyroidectomy and thyroidectomy, traditional open thyroidectomy, central, selective and modified radical neck dissection, laparoscopic adrenalectomy, and open adrenalectomy.
