Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, is a safe, advanced technique that allows medical professionals to view high-resolution, highly detailed images of organs and tissues. It may reveal soft tissue damage; inflammation; or small tears in tendons, ligaments, and muscles. It also may identify degenerative disorders, such as arthritis; disease processes including stroke, tumors, and vessel malformation; or problematic conditions in the brain, spine, liver, kidney, heart, pancreas, prostate, and uterus.

Since magnetic fields are used instead of X-Rays, MRIs do not expose patients to radiation and can be used repeatedly.
