About Me:  Isabel (Izzy) received both her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Her long-term career goal is to become a clinical specialist as a critical care pharmacist, a Residency Program Director, and an Associate Professor at a College of Pharmacy. Izzy’s personal interests include traveling, reading, cooking, trying new foods, weightlifting, and exploring the craft beer scene.

Why Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center:  When applying for residency programs, Izzy knew that she wanted certain things: a large, academic medical institution with a PGY2 in Critical Care, the chance to obtain a teaching certificate, a medium sized residency class, and opportunities for research. Luckily for her, she matched at BSLMC and a year later is now one step closer to her dream of becoming a critical care pharmacist. After an amazing experience as a PGY1, she knew that she could continue growing as a person and clinician with the help of the amazing support of the preceptors she's worked with.
