CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital was presented with $30,000 from its Auxiliary. The donation will be used to purchase an electric shuttle bus to transport patients and guests around the facility.
“We’re very thankful for this generous gift from our volunteers,” said David Argueta, FACHE, president, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital. “Volunteers provide an invaluable service to this hospital and with their contribution we’re adding a new transportation service that will improve how we serve our patients and their families.”
Each year for the past two years, the Auxiliary hosted four major fundraisers at the hospital to raise the $30,000 for the new shuttle. The 12-passenger electric shuttle, enclosed with air conditioning is free to all visitors and will be ready for service later this spring.
“We’re honored to be able to help the hospital. Our volunteers have worked very hard to raise this money,” said Minnie Strucker, Auxiliary President, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital. “The shuttle will be a great addition for the hospital to provide more accessibility for our visitors.”
