Every 40 seconds, someone has a stroke, a “brain attack” that stops the flow of blood in the brain. Timely medical care is essential. Comprehensive Stroke Center status identifi¬es hospitals that meet standards for treating the most complex stroke cases.
CHI St. Luke’s Health Comprehensive Stroke Centers are committed to delivering safe, high-quality stroke care based on evidence-based standards of care and a multidisciplinary approach to treating and rehabilitating stroke patients.
Dedicated to community health and education, we remind community members to think F.A.S.T. when a stroke is suspected.

  • F – Face drooping on one side, or uneven smile
  • A – Arm weak or numb
  • S – Speech slurred or hard to understand
  • T – Time to call 9-1-1 AND check the time of the first symptoms

Time lost is brain lost. Get the person to a Comprehensive Stroke Center emergency center immediately.
