Our approach to cardiac rehabilitation is progressive and multidisciplinary, focusing on four main areas:

Exercise: During the initial period, a custom exercise regimen is designed and supervised by qualified nurses, exercise physiologists and medical staff. Patients are continuously monitored with advanced continuous EKG.

Nutrition: Individuals receive counseling on effective methods of achieving ideal body weight and controlling cholesterol, blood sugar, and hypertension through diet.

Counseling Services: An advanced practice, licensed social service worker is available to support cardiac patients and families dealing with pain, fear, and depression during rehabilitation.

Education: A comprehensive heart-health discussion is offered weekly and is separate from your class schedule. Topics include Heart Safety, Cardiac Medications, Risk Factors for Heart Disease, Benefits of Exercise, Weight Management, Nutrition, and Stress Management. This is to be scheduled within the first month of enrollment. Dietary analysis and stress management are also available to our patients by one-on-one appointments.
