About Me: Joshua received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and double-minored in Business Administration and Management. As the current PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration Resident, he has professional interests including operational and health-system leadership, strategic planning, transitions of care, and quality improvement. In conjunction with his residency, he is also pursuing a Masters of Sciences in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration at the University of Houston, and desires to become a recognized mentor, guest lecturer and health-system leader.

Along with his residency, Joshua has a strong passion for serving his community and being involved within the profession. He serves as an Executive Consultant for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA), the National Webmaster for the Pharmacy Administration Residency Collaboration (PARC), and serves on the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP) New Practitioners Forum. Outside of his residency and professional involvement, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, good music and movies, and attending sporting events.

Why Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center (BSLMC): The residency program at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center offers challenging clinical and administrative rotations. The preceptors are experts in their respective fields and they allow me to precept and mentor pharmacy students. The opportunity to learn within the largest medical center in the world allows me to not only learn health-system management at BSLMC, but also from the surrounding Texas Medical Center hospitals through partnerships amongst the other pharmacy administration residents. Additionally, the long-lasting relationships I am able to make amongst the residents/fellows at BSLMC enhance my experience and provide support as I matriculate throughout the residency program.
