CHI St. Luke’s Health announced today the opening of a primary care clinic on its Springwoods Village medical campus. Operated by St. Luke’s Medical Group, the clinic will serve as a temporary facility while construction on the Springwoods Village Hospital is completed.
“One of our main pillars as a health system is to build healthy communities,” said David Argueta, FACHE, President, CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital and Lakeside Hospital. “We’re excited to be a part of this new venture as we continue our legacy of care within the Springwoods Village area.”
The new clinic provides comprehensive primary services by Heather Blaylock, MD, Family Medicine: non-emergency care, wellness exams for infants, children and adults, choleric care, minor skin issue treatment, in-house EKG/lab collection, treatment of mild behavioral health issues, and more.
“With 35,000 to 50,000 people expected to live in the region, opening the clinic makes it possible for us to begin serving area residents now, rather than waiting until the facility is complete,” said, Diane Freeman, Chief Nursing Officer, CHI St. Luke’s Health–Lakeside Hospital, who is also overseeing the development of the Springwoods Village campus. “We are privileged to provide care for families in this growing community.”
Once completed, the Springwoods Village medical campus, scheduled to open in early 2016, will offer residents and employees of the community and surrounding area access to high-quality care, as well as an alliance of some of the nation’s top physicians, researchers, and hospitals?without having without having to leave the neighborhood.
