Kaye Rathmann earned her Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy degree at the University of Texas at Austin. She has had experiences in various pharmacist settings included drug information, home care, and acute care operations. She is currently Director of Pharmacy at CHI St. Luke’s Health The Woodlands Hospital for 12 years with responsibilities including oversight of operations, performance improvement, regulatory, automation, clinical and purchasing.

Ran received her Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Rice University and Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Houston.  She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston.  She joined CHI St. Luke’s Health The Woodlands Hospital as Clinical Pharmacy Manager in 2011.  Ran is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and has multiple peer-reviewed publications.  She is a member of ASHP, TSHP, and Texas Chapter of SCCM.  


Karen Simpson, PharmD

Karen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of New Mexico,and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining CHI St. Luke’s Health in 2003, she worked in an acute care pharmacy. Since 2013, she has served as Operations Manager at CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodland’s Hospital, where she is involved in process and procedural changes, staff education, regulatory, clinical, purchasing, and implementing new pharmacy services. She also oversees sterile compounding operations, including staff development, and competency.

Nhi received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and completed a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. She is an active member of American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and American College of Cardiology (ACC). Her research interests include cardiology, critical care, and neurology.

Kayleigh received a Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Thereafter, she joined CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital as the first emergency medicine pharmacist. Since then, she has transitioned between emergency medicine and the adult intensive care unit, and has been involved in medication reconciliation, policy changes, and development. Kayleigh is a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a member of ASHP, TSHP, SCCM, and ACCP.

Elizabeth received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, Conn., and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. She is a member of GCSHP and has special interests in chronic disease state management, public health, and transitions of care.

Elizabeth received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Chicago State University. She completed a PGY1 residency at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. Her PGY2 critical care residency was completed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Pharmacy, and Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System in Dallas. Presently, Elizabeth provides clinical services in adult intensive care unit and emergency medicine at CHI St. Luke’s–The Woodlands Hospital.

Jen completed an undergraduate degree, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Residency from the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to joining CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital in 2008, she worked as Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy. Jen has nearly 25 years of experience in clinical and operations aspects of hospital pharmacy practice. Her practice interests include pediatrics/neonatal, transition of care, and medication safety.

Erika received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Vermont Medical in Burlington, Vt. She joined CHI St. Luke’s–The Woodlands Hospital in 2006. Erika has extensive experience in protocol development, clinical monitoring programs, staff education, pharmacist intervention reporting, medication reconciliation, and discharge pharmacy services.

Deborah received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She has more than 25 years of experience in acute care hospital operations and working in a long-term care pharmacy. For the past 12 years at CHI St. Luke’s Health– The Woodlands Hospital, she has performed various operational responsibilities, including organizing and overseeing the home medication reconciliation process. Presently, she works with other pharmacists to develop the transition of care program.

Khanh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at University of California-Los Angeles, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California-San Francisco. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with a focus on both inpatient and ambulatory care at Kaiser Permanente, West Los Angeles (KPWLA) Medical Center. Thereafter, she joined KPWLA as an inpatient pharmacy clinical specialist. In 2011, Kanh joined CHI St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands Hospital as a per diem pharmacist. She eventually transitioned to a clinical position and piloted the pharmacy discharge program. In her new role, she combines her interests in clinical inpatient pharmacy work with counseling patients and teaching pharmacy students. Her professional interests include internal medicine, infectious disease, home infusion, patient counseling, and teaching pharmacy students.

Ha received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Houston. Presently, she is a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist at CHI St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital. She has experience in developing pharmacy-related clinical applications in Epic, along with working in long term care and sterile compounding.
